“Hello, World!
I’m Andy; I play sax.
I was born and raised in New York City.
I dropped out of Harvard after six weeks to play music for a living. Since playing music is a lousy way to make a living, I worked part-time at unskilled laboring jobs, doing everything from washing dishes to cleaning floors to setting up tombstones.
It turned out that I have treatment-resistant major depression; music and coffee are the two most effective short-term remedies for that.
I love all styles of music that I have heard so far, except for the stuff that is mainly played in corporate elevators. If a musician won’t at least try to understand a genre, they are disrespecting all their fellow carbon units who love it. I’m in a growth stage right now: listening to everything, learning as much as I can, and making my seventies my best decade so far.
The Struggle Bus is a very special place. Music is love; The Bus is an environment where people are free to find that music within themselves, and express it through cooperation.
I’m the proud parent of two, great-grandparent of four, and have a beautiful step-great-grandson also.”
