Zach Fields is a guitarist, singer-songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with over 15 years of experience performing and writing music. As a singer-songwriter, Zach has performed extensively as both a solo artist and with various groups.
He approaches playing with a focus on serving the song — knowing when to step forward, when to lay back, and how to find the part that best supports the music. He brings that same approach to producing and songwriting, always looking at the bigger picture rather than simply trying to fill space.
Zach has also spent the past three years teaching guitar to students ranging in age from 7 to 70, developing a deep understanding of the instrument and a passion for helping musicians find their own voice.
Now bringing his experience as a guitarist and musician to Struggle Bus, Zach is excited to be part of the band and contribute to its sound both onstage and behind the scenes.
I play a little bit of everything—guitar, piano, drums, bass, and banjo—and music has been my entire world for as long as I can remember.
Named after Paul Stanley of KISS, I grew up backstage in the heart of rock ‘n’ roll. That early energy sparked a lifetime on stage, leading to incredible moments like opening for Foreigner, sharing a lineup with Hatebreed at Toad’s Place, and jamming with jazz legend James Moody. When I’m not playing live, I’m in the studio producing audio and scoring soundtracks for video games and short films.
Music education and entrepreneurship are central to everything I do. I run my own business, Paul Fredericks Music LLC, offering private lessons and creative coaching, and I teach on faculty at Westover School. I’ve also spent significant time working in music wellness with senior citizens—using familiar songs to spark memories, bring comfort, and ease isolation.
That’s why joining The Struggle Bus and the Turnbridge community feels like a natural home. Music is a powerful lifeline, and whether I’m teaching, producing, or jamming on The Bus, my goal is simple: to build community, support others, and help people find joy and healing through shared sound.
